Prepare for the ride

What riding experience do I need?

The 2027 Himalaya plan is rated Medium, with 10% off-road. Tell the team about your experience with manual motorcycles, bends and uneven surfaces so you can discuss whether this ride suits you.

What riding gear should I bring?

Bring a full-face helmet, protective riding jacket and trousers, gloves and motorcycle boots. Pack warm layers and rain protection. Personal riding gear is not included; choose equipment you already find comfortable.

What documents should I prepare?

Prepare your passport, relevant visa documents, motorcycle licence and insurance documents. Check visa, international driving permit and local permit requirements with the team for your nationality and route. Keep copies separate from the originals.

How should I prepare physically?

Prepare for consecutive riding days and travel at altitude. If you have a medical condition or medication needs, discuss the itinerary with your doctor and tell the team about relevant needs before departure.

What should I check in my insurance?

Ask your insurer whether the policy covers 450cc motorcycle touring, the route altitude, medical care and evacuation. Insurance and rescue are not included in the package. Keep emergency contacts and policy documents accessible.

Do I need to bring my own motorcycle?

No. The package plan uses a Royal Enfield Himalayan 450cc and includes tour fuel. A guide/marshal, mechanic, backup rider and support vehicle are listed in the package. Bring your own personal riding gear.

How should I pack my luggage?

Separate your main bag from daily essentials: documents, water, extra layers and personal items you need within reach. Use compact, weather-resistant bags. Confirm luggage limits and arrangements with the team before departure.

When should I book my flights?

Wait for the team to confirm departure dates, the meeting point and arrival timing before buying inflexible tickets. The journey plan starts in Delhi. International and domestic flights are not included in the package price.
